Professional Opportunities

The Mid-Hudson Teacher Center is conducting an ongoing request for proposals from NYS certified P-12 educators and higher education faculty, who would like to teach professional development sessions ranging from 3 -12 contact hours.  We have some exciting initiatives underway and are looking for educators who would like to offer professional development opportunities to their colleagues.  Workshops can be on location in schools, or in the form of synchronous online afternoon and/or evening sessions. They must focus on at least one of the following areas:
  • Understanding and applying the NYS P-12 Learning Standards to instruction and ongoing assessment of student learning.
  • Support for integrating technology into curriculum and instruction aligned to the NYS P-12 Learning Standards.
  • Higher Education partnerships to promote enhanced teacher and leader pre-service preparation.
  • Support for the creation and maintenance of safe, secure, supportive and inclusive learning environments.
They can be in a variety of formats including but not limited to:
  • Synchronous Online Interactive Workshops (If you are new to this format, training and support will be provided)
  • Online Book Studies
  • Professional Learning Communities
  • Hands-on Workshop Sessions Located in Schools
If you have submitted proposals in the past, we ask that you complete Workshop Proposal Form for Board Approved MHTC Presenters.  If you have never conducted a workshop for the Mid-Hudson Teacher Center, then please fill out the Workshop Proposal Form for Those Seeking to be Approved MHTC Presenters.
