NovelNY

This presentation will introduce the key features and functions of the current electronic resources that are included in NOVELNY. New York Online Virtual Electronic Library is an online library of literally hundreds of magazines, newspapers, maps, charts, research and reference books that are available to every New Yorker. Participants will have time to work on integrating NOVELNY resources into their current lesson plans. Provided by the New York State Library, NOVELNY connects New Yorkers to 21st century information. NOVELNY is supported with temporary federal Library Services and Technology Act funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).

NYSTC Enter Partnership with WNET/PBS/VITAL NY

New York State Teacher Centers Enter Partnership  

with WNET/PBS/VITAL/NY

Through the efforts of the Statewide Teacher Center Technology Committee, MHTC is pleased to announce the availability of the exciting “VITAL NY” program”.  In partnership with Channel 13/WNET,  NY Teacher Centers will be working on training models to insure the most effective use of this free, standards aligned video system. VITAL NY has a collection of over 2,000 resources for teachers and students.   PBS will be working with us to create a training model in both traditional face to face formats as well as on-line formats.   Stay tuned for more information about this exciting and valuable program, but please feel free to start utilizing the service and to place the link to the resource on your website.
