| From the Director: Continuing the Vision |
The recent difficult NY State budget process should be a reminder to us of the need to continuously inform our constituents of the work we are engaged in and how it positively impacts the skills of teachers and the performance of students. The securing of full funding for Teacher Centers in this year of tight budget constraints is a testament to the influence and vision of NYSUT, a testament to the importance of professional development in our efforts to close the achievement gap and a testament to the quality of programs offered by NY State Teacher Centers. Now, more than ever, we need to insure our programs meet constituent needs, promote and celebrate our successes, thank our supporters and continue to collaborate with partners in the educational community. |
