Backyard Astronomy

Backyard Astronomy

Locating planets, moons, galaxies, meteoroids/meteors, and constellations in the night sky can be a lot of fun, and meet the basic astronomy standards and curriculum required by your state/district. We will use the Internet to 'see' the solar system and the universe through the eyes of Hubble and Chandra, and then take a look for ourselves with naked eyes, binoculars, and a telescope to see what is out there. Come and Join us for an evening of exploration and learn ways to integrate this into your classroom.

September 26th      3:00-9:00 PM     Room Humanities Bldg, SUNY New Paltz

Tuesday, September 22, 2009 - 09:22 123
